Yes, AM – Using Your Physical Body to Inform Your Choices w/ Sarah Ackerman
When was the last time you paid attention to how you feel in your body? Not just if something hurts, or if you ate too much pizza – but sat and noticed how it’s stressful it feels if your shoulders are clenched to your ears, or how great it can feel to take a few big, deep breaths.
In this Yes, AM workshop, we’ll start with the first hour in an all-levels yoga class* to bring awareness to the body and breath and in the second hour, take that information to inform your scene choices.
*A word about all-levels yoga:
Can’t touch your toes? Great! Never done yoga before? Awesome! You know what Eka Pada Galavasana is and can do it without warming up? Lovely!
All are welcome. You’re a good yogi by DOING yoga. Just try it. You’re in good hands.
Dress for yoga. Bring a mat. Bring a change of clothes if you’d like (not required – yoga clothes are hella comfy).
This workshop will:
>Feel connected to your body
>Find new ways to come to choices and offers
>Give you the space to breathe on stage
>Learn how to bring this physical awareness into your characters and scene work
